Salary: Level 5 $88,528.02 per annum plus 12% Superannuation/Level 6 $95,527.33 per annum plus 12% Superannuation
- Permanent | Full-time
- 6 weeks Annual Leave and 15 Days Personal/Carers Leave
- 7.25 hours per day
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled individual to assist with the identification, issuing, and management of development and works permits across the City of Darwin. In this role, you will play a key part in offering expert technical advice, engage with developers and businesses, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards for both private and public land projects.
The ideal applicant will have:
- A solid understanding of construction methodologies, technical standards, and design drawing interpretation.
- Experience in managing permits, liaising with developers and contractors, and ensuring compliance with both regulatory frameworks and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and service authorities.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of traffic management processes and the ability to assess related documentation.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes, with a focus on customer service, accountability, and safety.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to resolve issues and balance competing demands.
